CLA Library Research and Development Grant Awarded

(Ottawa, May 20, 2010) The Research & Development Committee of CLA is pleased to announce a $1,000 award to Allan Wilson & John Shepherd in support of their research project “Performance Metrics: A Board Level View of Library Performance”. This award will help cover costs related to research into public library performance measures, which the committee believes may eventually have applications for academic and other libraries.
Mr. Wilson is the Chief Librarian for the Prince George Public Library and Mr. Shepherd is a doctoral student and works in the School of Business at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
The Canadian Library Association / Association canadienne des bibliothèques is Canada’s largest national and broad-based library association, representing the interests of public, academic, school and special libraries, professional librarians and library workers, and all those concerned about enhancing the quality of life of Canadians through information and literacy.
